Koder, Now available in the App Store

15 Jun

After months of hard work and research, finally, we proudly present our first iOS app, Koder. It’s “A goood, rich featured code editor for ipad”

You probably will say, you have a mistype in the “goood” word. But, no. It’s not a typo.
We decide to add one more “o” letter in the word “good” of the app tagline, because we think two “o” letters are not enough to show the number of features that Koder have :)

Do not believe it? Fine, we’ll prove it :p

Remote Connections

Ok, for a start, koder supports ftp connection, dropbox, iDisk, and also local ipad document, where you can upload files to your ipad easly through desktop browser.
All remote connections are integrated with a sophisticated file browser with collapsible folder feature that make it easier for you to explore your files / folders structure.
And, its project-based support will help you to manage your coding task easily and allows you to perform multiple connections to FTP, dropbox and iDisk.

Built In Snippet Manager

Then, there is a built in snippet manager. You can save your favorite snippets and insert them to your source file easily

Tabbed Editing

Then you see that Koder have a tabbed editing. You can do the editing of multiple files at once with a tab interface, which will allow you to switch between opened files faster.

Syntax highlighting

Your coding work will be more easier with the syntax highlighting supports. It supports more than 20 programming language such as PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ruby on rails, Java, C++, C#, ActionScript3, Bash / shell, ColdFusion, Delphi, Diff, Erlang, Groovy, JavaFX, Perl, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Scala, SQL, Visual Basic, XML etc

Previewer / Mini browser

Well, Previewer actually is a mini browser, plus the view source function which of course will help you to debug your web development codes easily.

Find And Replace Code

A good code editor should have a search and replace functions. And koder has it too.

Additional Keys

Yes, we’ve added some additional keys on iPad virtual keyboard shortcuts to help code typing faster. We even have buttons to move the cursor position, and auto closing bracket which will allow you to insert opening+closing brackets and placing the cursor in the between of them.

Expandable editor space

If you feel the editor field is too small then you can make it wider easily by touching the expanding button on the top section of editor space

Style
Yes we support Theming, you can change the look of the editor space according to your preference. You can change the editor space to a dark theme, changing the font type and also font size.

There are many other features, but it seems it would be better if you prove them by yourself. You can download it from AppStore only for a few bucks

We are committed to continuously develop this app. If you have any ideas, feedback or even a bug, please let us know, at the support and feedback page

I’m super excited about this app. Does it have code completion built in or are we left to our own horrible spelling skills?

Hey guys, an excellent product. Picked it up finally feeling like I can use iPad for some quick code updates or fixes while out of the office. Brilliant.

One thing I feel is missing is code autocompletion, even basic implementation in HTML whereby opening a tag would generate the closing tag also would be a massive time saver especially considering that the forward slash key is on the separate key view, it becomes cumbersome to type closing tags.

    Keep up the good work!

Great web site. Looks like a great app. You need a demo version. Also, you should have someone with English as a first language proofread your site.

    Best wishes.

I love the interface. only thing that’s killing me is I need git integration. I’ve been trying to use dropbpx but it’s impossible to manage the codebase

Dear iCodelabs, it is nice to know that Indonesia has many promising iOS code developers. I just want to ask this: do we have to buy Apple developer membership to use your program? As far as I know this membership is required to enable you develop any applications for iOS devices. Thanks for your information and keep up the good work
